Child Day Care: Information for Child Day Care Providers
Childcare providers are self-employed and work in cooperation with the respective city or county youth welfare office. A childcare provider cares for a maximum of five children under the age of three—primarily in their own home, or alternatively in rented space or in the parents’ home.
Theoretical and practical training is provided through free courses totaling 300 hours. About half of this training is completed before the employee begins work.
