Hessen Mobil is responsible for issuing permits and exemptions for the transport of oversized and/or heavy loads. Applications must be submitted to that agency.

Rules for the Transport of Dangerous Goods and Monitoring of Dangerous Goods Shipments

The Lower Transportation Authority is responsible for approving routes for the transport of hazardous materials and for monitoring such transport in cooperation with the traffic police and the Federal Office for Logistics and Mobility.
