Service description
Publicly funded construction projects require approval from the building regulatory authority rather than a building permit if the design work is supervised by a federal or state building agency and that agency is staffed.
Under certain circumstances, the requirement for consent may be waived.
Projects that serve national defense purposes must be brought to the attention of the higher building authority in an appropriate manner before construction begins; the higher building authority will not conduct a review.
Procedure
Special information for the Fulda district- You fill out the application online on the building portal and submit it, along with the required documents, to the appropriate building authority
- The building authority will review your application and the supporting documents
- If all requirements are met, the building authority will grant you approval
Competent Authority
Lower-level building inspection authorities (building inspection authorities of the counties, independent cities, and cities with special status)
Prerequisites
- Responsibility for overseeing the design work has been assigned to a federal or state construction agency
- The construction office must be staffed
What documents are required?
Request for approval and submission of all construction documents required for the evaluation of the application
What fees apply?
The costs are calculated based on the cost of the building shell.
Processing time
A decision on the application for approval must be made within three months of receipt of the complete application documents.
This deadline may be extended by up to two months for good cause. If no decision is made on the application within the applicable deadline, the application is deemed to have been granted.
