Apply for a Green License Plate for Vehicles and Trailers
Service description
Certain vehicles exempt from motor vehicle tax display license plates with green lettering and a green border on a white background. These include vehicles belonging to nonprofit organizations, agricultural and forestry vehicles, and certain trailers.
If the requirements for a green license plate are no longer met, the competent main customs office may assess a motor vehicle tax. From that point on, the green license plate is invalid and must be changed to black.

The application for a green license plate must be submitted to the registration authority in connection with the vehicle’s registration. If your registration office requires an application form, you can usually obtain it in advance from the registration authority or download it from the agency’s website, depending on the agency’s offerings.
What documents are required?
The same documents that (depending on the transaction) would otherwise be required for the registration of a new vehicle, the deregistration of a vehicle, or the transfer of a vehicle to a new owner.
