Service description
A change of use is a change in the approved type of use of a building. A change in use—even without structural alterations—requires a building permit if public building regulations impose different or more stringent requirements on the structure in its new use. This is generally the case. The procedure is the same as that for approving new construction.
What documents are required?
- Application form on official letterhead with all required signatures
- Business Description (for Commercial Projects)
- Property Plan (or, if applicable, an extract from the property cadastre)
- Construction drawings showing current and future uses
- Calculation of building figures, such as living space or usable floor area
- Proof of parking spaces for the additional need
- Construction Specifications and Construction Costs (to the extent that structural modifications are required)
