Service description
Educational child and youth protection is a general, preventive counseling and educational program for children, adolescents, and parents that
- is intended to empower young people to protect themselves from harmful influences and to help them develop critical thinking skills, decision-making abilities, personal responsibility, and a sense of responsibility toward others,
- is intended to better equip parents and other guardians to protect children and adolescents from harmful influences.
Educational measures to protect children and youth include, for example:
- Projects to empower children and parents,
- as part of family education,
- as part of youth work or
- through general public awareness campaigns.
