Youth Leader Card in Hesse (Juleica)
Service description
Anyone can obtain the Juleica who works as a youth leader in extracurricular child and youth work for a youth organization affiliated with the Hessian Youth Ring, for an organization providing independent youth welfare services recognized under Section 75 of the Child and Youth Welfare Act, or for a public youth welfare agency.
What documents are required?
An electronic passport photo. This must be attached to the online application in the specified format.
Otherwise, the online application process does not provide for the option of attaching certificates or supporting documents in electronic form to the application. If requested, these must be made available to the private or public agency in an appropriate manner, in accordance with the guidelines.
What fees apply?
The issuance of the Youth Leader Card serves the statutory mandate to support volunteer work (Section 73 of SGB VIII) and is therefore in the public interest. Consequently, no fee is charged for its issuance.
What deadlines do I have to observe?
In general, there are no deadlines to meet when submitting an application. If a renewal application
is submitted, it must be done within 3 years of the card’s expiration date.
