Fulda Talent and Physical Activity Assessment
The Fulda Talent and Physical Activity Assessment is a project in the Fulda district that allows second-grade elementary school students to discover their athletic abilities through play. The focus is primarily on having fun while being active—and, as a side benefit, talents become apparent.
The children try out various physical activity stations, such as running, jumping, throwing, or balancing. Without any pressure, it quickly becomes clear where their strengths lie and what they particularly enjoy.
And this is where it gets exciting: Maybe your child has a knack for soccer, a future in track and field, or a natural talent for gymnastics, dance, or swimming? Trendy sports like parkour, basketball, or table tennis can also play a role and spark their initial enthusiasm.
It’s especially important to note that the Fulda district works closely with the local sports association and community sports clubs on this initiative. This allows children to be directed to suitable sports clubs based on the results of the assessment. If they’re interested, individual trial sessions can even be arranged—it’s simple and close to home.
This creates a genuine connection between school, sports, and clubs—and makes it much easier to get started in your favorite sport.
At the conclusion of the project, the twelve top-performing girls and boys will also be honored at a special ceremony.
