At the District Music School, children and adults can learn to play an instrument. Whether it’s woodwinds, brass, piano, strings, or guitar—you’ll find the right class for you here.

How do I register myself or my child for classes?
To register for classes, please submit the completed registration form (see the Downloads section) to the KreisMusikSchule.
How much do the classes cost?
The amount of the fees depends on the courses offered and is specified in the music school regulations.
The tuition fee is
- Early Music Education (MFE) 26.00 euros per month
- Basic Music Education (MGA) 26.00 euros per month
- Private lessons, 45 minutes, 98.00 euros per month
- Private lessons, 30 minutes, 67.00 euros per month
- Small group of 2: 50.00 euros per month
- Small groups of 3 or 4: 38.00 euros per month
- Group classes (8 or more participants) 27.00 euros per month
- Pre-vocational Training (VFA) 165.00 euros per month
- Free Supplemental Classes

Early Music
Since 2024, students have had the opportunity to take courses in early music. These include lessons in viola da gamba, recorder, and Baroque trombone. Ensembles and consorts are offered as supplementary courses. On select weekends, students have the opportunity to participate in classes on 16th- and 17th-century music theory.
Can I learn to play an instrument as an adult, even if I have no experience?
At the KreisMusikSchule, there are many adults who pursue their hobby with great enthusiasm. It doesn’t matter whether you took lessons as a child or are just now, later in life, starting from scratch to discover music for yourself.
