District Administrator Bernd Woide welcomed the students on their first day: “An exciting time lies ahead for you. Be curious, ask questions, and stay engaged. You’ll be working in a digital administration that has a lot to offer. I wish you a great start.” Eight of the young men and women have been enrolled in the Public Administration program since September 1—two each in BASA (Social Work) and BASS (Social Administration), and one in Digital Administration.
Training Manager Sascha Rühl, the Staff Council, the Representative for Employees with Severe Disabilities, the Human Resources Department, and the Youth and Trainee Representative Committee (JAV) also extended a warm welcome to the new colleagues. Deputy District Administrator Frederik Schmitt administered the oath of office to the nine probationary civil servants and wished them all the best for their training. “You can look forward to an exciting time with insights into a wide variety of areas,” said Schmitt.
In addition to a tour of the district administration office, the new students were treated to a thematic introduction and had the opportunity to get to know one another on the first day. On the other days of the first week, they explored the district administration’s numerous branch offices during a tour of those locations, among other activities.
