Registration for handicapped accessible conversion
Service description
As part of this funding program, cost subsidies may be granted for renovation work on existing owner-occupied homes that enable people with disabilities to continue managing their own households independently and living autonomously. In general, measures, fixtures, and equipment installed on or within existing owner-occupied homes are eligible for funding. It must be evident that the construction project is necessary due to the disability of a household member and that it is not a maintenance or modernization project.
The following measures, in particular, are eligible for funding:
- Installation of Permanent Ramps
- Removal of Steps and Thresholds
- Widening Doors
- Accessible Bathroom Renovation
- Upgrading and Installing Accessible Kitchens
- Installation of appropriate lifts (e.g., stairlift, platform lift)
- High-contrast design of circulation areas inside and outside the buildings
This list is not exhaustive; if other measures are planned, they may also be eligible for funding.
