Approval for use of temporary structures - Tent approval
Service description
Temporary structures are , according to the Hessian Building Code, so-called structures that
are suitable and intended to be repeatedly erected and dismantled.
In addition, temporary structures so-called temporary structuresstructures. They require an
construction, you need a construction permit (inspection log). Temporary Structures
require then a construction permit, if they are not exempt from the permit requirement. Tents
, for example, require a construction.
Those Flyingn structures that require a construction permit may only be
put into service if their installation has been reported in a timely manner to the building inspection authority of the

The building inspectorate may approve the commissioning of these temporary structures be made conditional upon

It is therefore a requirement that the commissioning of a temporary structure (e.g., tents with a floor area of 75

The following list provides examples of temporary structures that are subject to
constructionand for which, if applicable, a final inspection
may be required. Further details are set forth in Section 11 of the Annex to Section 63 of the Hessian Building Code
2018.- Stages that are temporary structures, including canopies and other
structures over 5 meters in height, with a floor area greater than 100 m² and a
floor height exceeding 1.50 m
- Single-story tents and single-story walk-in sales booths that are considered “temporary structures”
structures, with a floor area exceeding 75 m²
- Inflatable play structures with a height of the accessibleaccessible area of more than 5 m, or
with covered areas where the distance to the exit is more than 3 m,
provided that the structure is designed to prevent the roof from sagging, more than 10 m,

- Temporary structures over 5 meters in height that are not intendedto be entered by visitors
or visitors.
- Temporary structures over 5 m in height that are operated for children and have a
speed greater than 1 m/s

What fees apply?
A fee is charged for the final inspection in accordance with the Administrative Cost Regulations for
the business division of the Hessiann Ministryof for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transportation,
Housing, and Rural Affairs (HMWVW).
