Application for a Hunting License for Minors
Service description
To be allowed to hunt in Germany as a minor, you must have a German youth hunting license issued in your name.
A youth hunting license can only be issued to individuals who are at least 16 years old but not yet 18 years old. To obtain a youth hunting license for the first time, you must provide proof that you have passed a hunting exam in Germany.
Notes
With a youth hunting license, you may hunt only when accompanied by a guardian with hunting experience or a supervisor with hunting experience who has been authorized in writing by your guardian(s).
Procedure
To apply for a hunting license for minors, submit the completed application form (see "Applications/Forms" below). Please check to see what other documents you may need to provide.
Provided that all requirements are met, you will be issued a youth hunting license. You will receive it along with the fee notice from the hunting authority.

What documents are required?

: The photograph must be a recent one. It must be at least 45 millimeters by 35 millimeters in portrait orientation, with no border. The photograph must show the face with a minimum width of 20 millimeters and clearly identify the applicant. The background must be lighter than the face. - Copy of your ID card

hunting liability insurance Note: (at least 500,000 euros for bodily injury and 50,000 euros for property damage); the validity period of the certificate must fully cover the desired validity period of the hunting license. The premium invoice is not sufficient. - Original certificate of passing the hunter's exam
Unless original documents (passport photo, exam certificate) are required, you should preferably submit the documents by email.

What fees apply?
Fees are charged by the hunting authority for applications for a hunting license for minors.
The fees for hunting-related matters can be found in No. 41 of the Appendix to the Administrative Cost Regulations for the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture, and Consumer Protection, dated December 8, 2009.
