Organizing an Animal Event
Service description
You can use this online service to post an announcement for an animal-related event.
The following information is required for this online service:
- Information about the animal event (including name, purpose, location, and dates)
- Information on the Animal Species
- Information on the Animals' Origin
If the event involves dogs and/or cats, and dogs or cats from a Member State or a third country are participating in a dog or cat show or a similar event, the event must always be reported to the competent authority at least four weeks before it begins. Likewise, dog and cat shows, as well as similar events involving dogs and cats, must be reported to the competent authority at least four weeks before they begin if they take place in a high-risk district.
With regard to livestock, the following events must be reported at least four weeks before the respective event: livestock exhibitions, livestock markets, livestock shows, livestock competitions, and similar events. (Section 4(1) of the Livestock Movement Regulation)
