Apply for a Firearms Possession Permit for Clubs
Service description
A club firearms possession permit may be issued to shooting sports clubs or hunting associations. It allows the club or association to possess firearms subject to a permit, which club or association members may use on the premises under the supervision of a range officer.
Procedure
Applying for a Club Firearms Possession Card
To apply for a club firearms permit, please submit the application form provided for this purpose. Please check to see what other documents you may need to provide.
Provided that all requirements are met, you will be issued the club firearms ownership card and/or the requested permit will be entered on the club firearms ownership card. This will be mailed to you along with the fee notice.
Application for Preliminary Registration (Including Ammunition Purchase)
To apply for a preliminary registration, submit the designated application form. For each preliminary registration, please indicate whether an ammunition purchase permit is required by checking either “Yes” or “No.”
Provided that all requirements are met, the requested permit will be entered on your firearms ownership card. This will be mailed to you along with the fee notice.

What documents are required?

You must specify where the firearms and their ammunition are stored. You can find the appropriate storage declaration under "Applications/Forms." - Proof of Competence:
Every person in a leadership role within the club or association must submit proof of competence. If the responsible person holds a firearms license, proof of expertise does not need to be provided separately.
Responsible persons who do not yet hold a firearms license must submit proof of expertise.

What fees apply?
Fees are charged by the firearms authority for applications for a club firearms possession card, a preliminary registration, or a permit to purchase ammunition.
Under the Firearms Act, the reliability of all responsible individuals of the club or association listed on the firearms ownership card is reviewed every three years, for which fees are also charged on a regular basis.
The fees related to firearms regulations can be found in Section 7 of the Appendix to the Administrative Cost Regulations for the Ministry of the Interior, Security, and Homeland Protection.
