Whether due to a move, a name change, or other circumstances: Any change to your personal information must also be updated in your registration documents.
Change of Address
Checklist
- Vehicle Registration Certificate (Part I)
- valid ID card (or valid passport with proof of residence)
- Foreign residents must present a passport along with a valid residence permit and proof of registration (for EU citizens, the "EU ID card").
The fee for changing your address is at least 10.80 euros.
You can also have changes of address within the Fulda district entered on Part I of your
vehicle registration certificate by the Residents' Registration Office at your city or municipal administration.You may also authorize another person to act on your behalf. That person must also be able to provide proof of identity and, in addition to the documents listed above, submit a written power of attorney. This does not need to be in any specific format.

Name Change

- Vehicle Registration Certificate and Vehicle Title (ZB II and ZB I)
- A valid, previously amended ID card (or a valid passport with a certificate of residence)
- Foreign residents must present a passport along with a valid residence permit and proof of registration (for EU citizens, the "EU ID card").
The fee for a name change is at least 11.70 euros. Additional fees may apply in certain cases.
If your name no longer appears on your new ID card or passport, you will also need to update your driver's license.
