Control Center

The Central Control Center in Fulda is operated by the City of Fulda; it is an organizational unit of the district and plays a central role in emergency response and rescue operations. It is staffed around the clock and serves as the first point of contact for emergency calls made via the Europe-wide emergency number 112.

The main responsibilities of the Central Dispatch Center include receiving, assessing, and prioritizing emergency calls, as well as alerting and coordinating emergency response teams from the fire department, emergency medical services, and disaster response agencies. In addition, it monitors ongoing operations, coordinates multiple response resources simultaneously, and ensures efficient incident command.

Other responsibilities include providing support during major disasters, coordinating with other control centers and government agencies, and documenting all operations. In this way, the Central Control Center makes a significant contribution to public safety and to providing rapid, organized assistance in emergency and crisis situations.
