Application for Issuance or Renewal of a Hunting License for Foreign Nationals
Service description
To hunt in Germany as a foreign national, you must have a German hunting license issued in your name. If you have not passed the German hunting exam, you may apply for a hunting license for foreign nationals under certain conditions.

: You can apply for daily, annual, or three-year hunting licenses. Regarding the recognition of a foreign hunting exam, it is best to contact the local hunting authority directly.Procedure
To apply for a hunting license for foreign nationals, please submit the application form (see "Applications/Forms" below). Please check to see what other documents you may need to provide.
Provided that all requirements are met, you will be issued a hunting license for foreign nationals. You will receive this, along with the fee notice, from the hunting authority.

What documents are required?
- Motion
- A statement from the local hunting leaseholder or host with whom you wish to hunt or who has invited you (the form can be requested from the lower-level hunting authority); this establishes the local jurisdiction of the hunting authority
- Proof of the person's identity and qualifications:
passport, national ID card, valid hunting and firearms permits, or comparable documents from the person's home country; hunting certification - German translations of documents written in a foreign language, prepared by German or foreign public authorities (e.g., publicly certified translators)
- A valid hunting license from your home country
; if applicable, a German daily or annual hunting license that has already been issued; if these are not available, a photograph is required - Proof of valid
hunting liability insurance Note: (at least 500,000 euros for bodily injury and 50,000 euros for property damage); the validity period of the certificate must fully cover the desired validity period of the hunting license. The premium invoice is not sufficient. - Hunting license certificate, along

What fees apply?
Foreigners applying for a hunting license must pay fees to the hunting authority.
The fees for hunting-related matters can be found in No. 41 of the Appendix to the Administrative Cost Regulations for the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture, and Consumer Protection, dated December 8, 2009.
