This monitoring initiative provides a data-driven foundation for the Fulda Region Skilled Workforce Strategy. Based on the collected data, reports are prepared that serve as a well-founded information basis for decision-makers in politics, public administration, business, and education.

Partners: The Fulda District and the Fulda Region are the main participants in the monitoring effort.

OloV

(Optimizing Local Placement Services for the Transition from School to Work)

The four-letter acronym is the umbrella brand of the Hessian state government for the transition from school to work. All institutions that shape the training market in the region are involved in the statewide OloV strategy. The partners in the regional OloV network develop appropriate solutions to strengthen cooperation and transparency at the technical level, to promote career guidance in schools and help young people choose a career, and to support regional businesses in their search for apprentices.

Content: OloV is designed to streamline the transition to vocational training or higher education for all young people and to help regional companies secure a skilled workforce. The goal is to avoid duplicative efforts and to consolidate existing programs and projects.

Apprentices in the Fulda Region

The Fulda Region Apprenticeship Network is a regional consortium dedicated to coordinating strategic and operational career guidance and apprenticeship market activities in the region. Its goal is to systematically plan, network, and sustainably shape the transition from school to work. The association operates under the umbrella of the OloV network and utilizes its structures, methods, and resources to strengthen cooperation among all relevant stakeholders—schools, companies, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, the Employment Agency, and public authorities.

Target Groups: The relevant target groups are students transitioning from school to the workforce, regional companies, and teachers. The Fulda Care Roundtable is a collaborative platform for all stakeholders in the regional long-term care sector, aimed at ensuring the quality of care on the one hand and improving the framework conditions for long-term care on the other.

Social Services Network

The network is aimed at regional stakeholders in the social services sector. The network’s goal is to effectively address the shortage of skilled workers and to jointly develop and implement strategies for retaining and recruiting skilled workers in the industry.

Founders of the Fulda Region

“Actively support and strengthen the startup scene in Fulda and Eastern Hesse.”

As a regional meta-network, it supports founders from the initial idea through to successful implementation and the growth phase. Startups, companies, investors, institutions, and universities are connected to foster a strong regional innovation ecosystem. The Fulda Startup Region provides support with grant opportunities, financing, business planning, visibility, and market entry. The network’s responsibilities also include establishing and facilitating mentor programs to provide hands-on guidance to young entrepreneurs. The goals are to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and the retention of skilled workers in the East Hesse region, as well as to strengthen Fulda as a business hub by promoting new business models and business succession.
